Well i’ve finally started my own blog.
I know all of you twitters have been at it for years and think ‘not another one probably full of rubbish..’, well it could be true, I thought this would be a good place to at least my put thoughts for me and hopefully one person finds this helpful/interesting.
Living in New Zealand and being English makes me think I have a interesting perspective, I’m used to having hundreds of websites selling me affordable technology and filling me with as much review information as I can handle. NZ doesn’t really do that, most of my working life I spend trying to find the elusive website wth trustworthy reviews of new and old products. I look on the UK and US websites but they never really what I want, either the item doesn’t make it to NZ or it’s affordable in the US or UK but too expensive here to make it viable.
For some reason my partner thinks I complain a lot and puts it down to the English in me, so thought rather than complain at her about lack of information or some cool looking product not coming to NZ for 18 months….I thought i would complain here and hopefully someone tell me to stop complaining and tell me a better alternative.
I have a couple of ideas for this blog, one of my first blogs will about trying to work out whether I should buy an Xbox 360, build a media computer or buy a media extender for my music and movies. Also as an IT tech I spend my days setting up new computers/networks/servers, advising clients on the best hardware or software for them and removing virus/spyware, so it’s always hard to find info and hopefully this will force me to be more methodical in my searches and enable me to search my thoughts in the future.
